Now hiring for a program assistant. The successful candidate will provide educational, operational, and research assistance to initiatives within the Aboriginal Access to Engineering mandate.  This includes outreach with Indigenous youth and support for the success of on-campus Indigenous students.

Homecoming is this weekend, and with it comes the launch of the Aboriginal Alumni Chapter at Queen's.

Marcy Maracle, a "Let's Talk Science" coordinator at McGill University, brought of number of student volunteers like herself to the Quinte Mohawk School in her home community of Tyendinaga.

The CIM Magazine May 2014 cover story is worth a read. Called "On the Land," it discusses a number of Indigenous communities in Canada that participate in Aboriginal run mining operations and includes descriptions of the financial obstacles and gains inherent to those operations.
